Why

Why didn’t I listen

when they told me to stay away

I guess I thought you changed

I believed you were different today

I gave you another chance

to prove yourself to me

but this time you proved that you’re an ass

I’m glad I can finally see

You treated me like shit two too many times

It will never happen again

I hope you realize

you hurt me bad

and that’s all in the past

believe me this time

because that was the last

Because now I’m much too strong

to fall into your game

you’re something from the past

I no longer know your name

  1. I wondered why we often give another chance…when our heart tells us up front…’it didn’t work and it ain’t gonna’…but still we insist….nice poem about this.
