The Dumpster: One Woman’s Search for Love (More Great Reviews)

I just finished The Dumpster, it was a good, quick read. It is about Nicole who is single and is looking for love, but in all the wrong places. Sometimes when Nicole was telling her story, my mouth dropped open in embarrassment for her. At the beginning of the book, it is almost like I am reading about one of the Jersey Shore cast with her drinking and sexual escapades. The Dumpster was very funny at the start, but then it turns a little serious in the middle and ends on a good note. I don’t want to give away too many details!

This book I would classify as chick lit, it’s for any woman that has searched for love. I would recommend this book as a good beach book.

The Dumpster” is a fun to read story about Nicole who is slightly overweight. All her friends are getting engaged and married and she’s trying to find that Mr Right. . She falls for just about every man she meets. She really hides herself behind sex and drinking. One day she realizes she needs to quit feeling sorry for herself. If she doesn’t like something she needs to change it. Once she starts making the changes, she realizes the guy for her has been there all along. This book will have you laughing at some of the things she goes through. This is a very entertaining book and easy to read I could not put it down.

This book is a lot of fun! It is not your typical romance novel
it has twists and turns and is written in common every day language unlike some older romance books.

I could hear the characters speak as if they were in the same room. The depiction is modern and the dialogue is fun and hip.

“The Dumpster: One Woman’s Search for Love” by Becky Due is a whimsical read about an overweight and a unlucky-in-love main character named Nicole. She has awesome girlfriends and gay besties who tell it to her straight, but she keeps dating loser after loser, probably because she’s confused sex with love. The dumpster that’s been placed outside her window is the catalyst to changing her whole life. As she begins to purge her physical belongings, including her “future fat day” clothes, she starts an emotional cleanse as well- leading her to a better happier emotional place, and even finds love while in the dumpster one day. This book is a light fluffy read, perfect for a beach day!
