When You Complete a Task, #CELEBRATE!

Today’s Challenge: When you complete a task, CELEBRATE!

Finally, after several rewrites, I finished my manuscript. Yay! Yesterday, after handing the book over to my publisher, I felt a little off–not happy, not sad, just different. So I’ve decided that I should celebrate. Typically, I’d run errands, catch up on neglected projects or start my next book,ย but today I’m going to do something good for me. Maybe a massage… Maybe an outing with friends… Maybe a trip to an art gallery… ย All I know for sure is that I’m going to get out of my office! I’m excited! ๐Ÿ™‚

How do youย celebrate after you achieve a goal?

  1. Congrats on your accomplishment! Yes, it’s important to acknowledge the completion. For me, it depends on what it is. Let’s say I finally finish writing a song, my celebration would be to let others hear it. That means to me that it’s finally completed. Time to move onto the next song!

  2. Hey..
    Many congratulations on this accomplishment!
Wow! I can only imagine how would you be feeling at this point. It’s like throughout the journey we are happy, excited to reach the destination and when we finally reach there, we don’t know how to react. BLANK!
I celebrate differently each time basis how I react! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Congratulations on finishing the rewrites and letting the manuscript go!! I’m sure it must be an odd almost lost kind of feeling.
…. and congratulations on deciding to celebrate. We don’t do that nearly often enough!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Congratulations! I always have mixed feelings when I finish writing a book–as you said, a little off. It’s like a weight has been lifted, but there’s that what do I do now feeling? I usually just like to relax, read a book, and veg out for a couple of days. Once the book is actually published, then I celebrate–maybe dinner out with my husband or something like that.

    • Thank you! Your celebration sounds perfect! I, on the other hand, just pulled out all of my old writings and paperwork and made a complete mess of my office. LOL. I have to do my taxes, so I think that created my need to go through papers… UGH! ๐Ÿ™‚
