Remove obstacles so you can reconnect with yourself.

About the Author/Books:

I’ve been feeling a little disconnected from what I want out of life.

I googled “how to reconnect with yourself” and found that most sites want you to ADD things to your already crazy life. What?!

Meditate. Exercise. Find time for _______. Eat Healthier. Go for Walks. Journal. Etc.

Sounds stressful. πŸ˜‰

A better approach might be to remove a few things… Less TV. Saying “No” more. Limiting time with certain people. Avoiding Social Media. Putting your phone on silent. Etc.

I’ll test it. πŸ™‚

  1. I know this is an “add” but I am doing a great journaling course with Jan Fortune of Cinnamon Press which is all about how to say No to things – eg No social media/TV/connecting with what you really want to do. I have tried saying No before and finish up saying Yes to other things but doing this journaling course is a bit like having someone walking it with you. If that makes sense.
I do think there are quite a few people in this place at the moment who just want to step off and slow down. Best of luck X

  2. It is tough to balance at times. Your strategy to remove things is a good one. You might then find the time to add a few things you really enjoy that are relaxing. I’ve found information overload makes it hard to quiet my mind, but there are many forms of moving meditation that do not take a lot of time. You’ll have to share the results of your test πŸ™‚

  3. Thought provoking indeed. I feel practicing the art of always being in the present moment is one way of connecting with your inner self. It’s not easy but even small steps will help.

Thanks and regards. A flower for you 🌷
