If You Aren’t Doing Your Best, Try A Little Harder #WeeklyChallenge

This Weeks Challenge:

If you aren’t doing your best, try a little harder.

~~~
From my Novels:
Angie from The Gentlemen’s Club comes to mind. She was beat down by others throughout her life, but she eventually grew strong enough to take her power back by taking full responsibility for her life. Although she was doing ok, she sometimes had to try a little harder when those old beliefs would creep into her plans.
Small Steps In The Right Direction Will Improve Your Life #WeeklyChallenge
This Weeks Challenge:
Small Steps In The Right Direction Will Improve Your Life.
Break down some of your goals into small, easy-to-achieve tasks.
~~~

From my Novels:

All of my characters learned this lesson the hard way… Usually hitting rock bottom before learning how to crawl out of the rut they had created.

Create A #To-Do List Based Around Your #Values

Today’s Challenge: Create a #to-do list based around your #values.

1. Take a look at your master to-do list.

  • If it’s like mine, it’s overwhelming

2. On a seperate sheet, write down your values.

  • Family and Friends
  • Shorty, my dog
  • Fitness
  • Career, Writing and Art
  • Love, Romance
  • Home, Clean and Organized
  • Time to myself (Yup, I’m an introvert)

3. Write down and underline each of your values as a page title.

  • I’ll have 7 pages

4. Transfer each to-do task to the proper value title page.

  • For example:

CAREER, WRITING AND ART

  • Buy paint
  • Take pics of finished art
  • Attach hanging wires
  • Decide which pieces will go in coffee shop
  • Etc.

5. Everyday make a new, short to-do list pulling the most important task(s) from each value page.

  • For example:

TODAY

  • 30 minutes treadmill
  • Clean up house and load of laundry
  • Buy paint
  • Fix Amazon link and author page
  • Take shorty for a long walk
  • Return family/friends phone calls and texts
  • Etc.

Watch your task lists shrink and become manageable and even enjoyable because you’re staying true to your values. You’re saying YES to everything that is important to you.
