This week’s Challenge:
Don’t ever think it’s too late.
As we get a little older our dreams might slip away, but they don’t have to… Maybe it’s time to make a few adjustment so you can reignite your passion.
About the Books:
While under the weather, I decided to read one of my own books. What a wonderful day that was. ♥ I needed that!
Today’s Challenge: Focus on your good qualities.
I am meeting with my editor on Friday (tomorrow), so I have been very busy… non-stop writing and editing! I have neglected my friends, family, housework, hygiene, etc.
I’m sorry. I’ll catch up with everybody on Monday. I’ve missed you!
I can’t wait to hand this book off and take a little break… Maybe I’ll have a Lifetime and Hallmark movie marathon! 🙂
I could start my next book…
Back into my writing zone.
My office is clean and organized. My life is fairly organized… other than worrying about my two “kids.” Oh, and my man is coming to town for my birthday. 🙂
I usually take a birthday week and spend that time experiencing new things and being really good to myself. This year, I’m going to try that indoor skydiving—I’ve never wanted to jump out of a plane, but this indoor action looks fun.
I think the timing is good. I’m pretty much finished with my novel, so I’ll let it simmer over the next week. When I return to the story, I’ll have a fresh set of eyes and I’ll be ready to get back into my writing zone. I can’t wait! 🙂
I’ve loved this A-Z Challenge. I’ve met so many amazing people and visited tons of great blogs. I’d love to keep the connections, and exchange links with my many like-minded friends. I’m going to keep the posts coming but weekly instead of daily–I’m thinking Tuesdays… Tue rhymes with Due… B-Due Tues… Tuesday Due’s Day??? I’ll work on it. 🙂 And I will still run the “Carrie and Becky’s Daily Challenge” everyday but Sunday.
Thanks to all my new amazing friends for the comments and likes… Until Tuesday, Happy Blogging! 🙂
“You can be whatever you want, but it will take hard work and dedication.” (Taken from The Woman’s Handbook)
My mother used to tell me, “You can be whatever you want.”
Sounds great. Sounds easy. Sounds fun.
Years later I realized that you can’t be whatever you want, unless you put in a hell of a lot of hard work and dedication… and you better hope for some luck.
Part of my problem was there were so many things I wanted to be, so many things I wanted to do, it took years for me to make up my mind, settle down and pick one.
Making the choice wasn’t random, it wasn’t eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Pieces of my life were finally starting to fall into place. I was experiencing random pushes toward writing novels. I enjoyed the hard work and dedication. Then one day I woke up and knew there was nothing else I wanted to be or do with my life.
I think sometimes, making a decision is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves.
How about you? How did you find your career? Are you still searching for your passion?
Today’s Challenge: Avoid multitasking, instead, focus on one project at a time.
I recently heard that you can complete a project, or achieve a goal simply by taking it off your to-do list. It’s likely that keeping unrealistic or outdated goals on your list is only dragging you down. Some examples might be: learn a new language, plant and care for a vegetable garden, become an artist or writer, run a marathon…
Today’s Challenge: Take something off your to-do list that you know deep down you will never do.
Today’s Challenge: Focus on all the good you have in your life.
Today’s Challenge: Go for a walk.

I’ve been saying no for years
One too many bad experiences
Not liking the interview, article…
Convincing myself I can’t do it
I don’t like doing it
I’m an introvert, that’s my excuse
I’m going to start saying yes
I’m going to ignore my self-doubt
I’ve learned from my bad experiences
I’ll be ready
I don’t have to like everything people say about me
I don’t have to always like the things I say
I can do it
Yes, I’m an introvert, but this is important for my career
And I’m going to say YES to everything!
I’m a little nervous to get out there again… wish me luck! 🙂
